Saturday Harvest is built on simplicity and trust. We collect only what is necessary to make the App work for you — nothing more. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or third parties.
2. Information We Collect
a. Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address solely for authentication purposes. Your display name is optional and chosen by you.
b. Location Data
With your permission, we access your device’s location to show you markets and events nearby. You may also manually enter a city, state, or zip code instead. Location data is processed on-device and within our secure backend — it is never sold or shared.
c. App Preferences
We store your in-app preferences (saved markets, favorites, notification settings, travel distance) to personalize your experience.
d. Support Communications
If you submit a bug report, feature request, or support message through the App, we store that message to respond and improve the platform.
e. Usage Data
We may collect anonymized, non-identifiable usage data (e.g., which screens are visited most) to improve the App experience. This data cannot be linked back to any individual user.
3. What We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect payment information (the App is free)
- We do not collect government IDs, Social Security numbers, or financial data
- We do not collect sensitive health or biometric data
- We do not track you across third-party apps or websites
- We do not build advertising profiles
4. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate your account and keep it secure
- To show you markets, events, and restaurants near your location
- To send you alerts about new listings near you (only with your permission)
- To respond to your support requests
- To improve App functionality and fix bugs
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted backend platform with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. We implement rate limiting and input sanitization to protect against unauthorized access.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting support@saturdayharvest.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
7. Children’s Privacy
Saturday Harvest is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us immediately at support@saturdayharvest.com.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw location permission at any time via your device settings
- Opt out of notifications at any time via Profile → Settings → Notifications
9. Third-Party Services
The App uses Supabase for backend infrastructure and OpenStreetMap/Photon for location geocoding. These services operate under their own privacy policies. We do not share your personal data with these services beyond what is required for App functionality.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any updates.
